The second season of Andi Mack premiered with a one hour premiere on October 27, 2017 and ended on August 13, 2018. It was being regularly broadcast on Disney Channel on Fridays at 8pm until the thirteenth episode, after which it was regularly broadcast on Mondays at 8pm as part of the Disney Channel GO! Summer lineup. The season consists of twenty-five episodes.

Summary[]

Andi is anchored by her loving albeit complicated family. She’s also in a trio with Cyrus and Buffy – her smart, supportive friends who are figuring out the most useful "hacks" to their young teen lives, too. Then suddenly, there’s all-new territory for Andi to navigate – the possibility that Jonah Beck might like her, too. Andi proves her greatest strength may lie in her ability to approach life’s unpredictability with optimism. She also finds solace by tapping into her creativity in her backyard hideaway, the Andi Shack.

Cyrus reveals to Buffy that he has a crush on Jonah.
Bowie proposes to Bex, who declines the proposal.
Andi and Jonah's relationship grows closer and more romantic.
Bex realizes that she has a true talent for makeup, and attends cosmetology school to become a licensed cosmetologist.
Buffy becomes the first girl of the Jefferson basketball team, and immediately ruffles feathers with the team captain, TJ.
Celia and Bex start to repair their relationship.
Celia and Ham plan to sell the house and travel, which means that Andi will lose AndiShack, devastating Andi.
Amber and Andi start a friendship but Amber's jealousy of Andi and Jonah quickly ends the friendship.
Buffy and Marty stop being friends when Marty wants more than a friendship.
Celia and Andi begin to spend more time together with Andi's hope that they will reconsider selling the house if she's there more often. The house is eventually taken off of the market after Ham and Celia realize they have different visions of what they would do after selling the house.
Andi feels insecure in her relationship with Jonah.
Cyrus starts to befriend the basketball team captain, TJ.
Bex befriends Miranda Patrick, a botanist where Bowie works. Miranda confesses that she has a crush on Bowie and asks him out after Bex gave her the green light.
Cyrus and Iris break up but agree to stay friends.
Bowie and Miranda start dating, and at first keep it a secret because Miranda has a daughter.
Cyrus celebrates his bar mitzvah and tells Andi about his feelings for Jonah during the party.
Jonah starts getting panic attacks, which leads him to the conclusion that he still has feelings for Andi.
Buffy has to move after her mother gets a job offer in Phoenix, Arizona.
Jonah develops a friendship with Bowie after he tells Bowie about his panic attacks, and they start to get into guitar together.
Bex confesses that she regrets declining Bowie's proposal.
Walker and Andi develop a friendship, which makes Jonah jealous.
Bowie introduces his girlfriend, Miranda and her daughter, Morgan to Andi. Things quickly turn sour when Morgan steals Andi's bracelet, which puts an end to Miranda and Bex's friendship.
Jonah opens up to Buffy and Cyrus about his panic attacks.
Andi and Jonah share their first kiss after Jonah sings Andi a song he wrote about her, and they start dating shortly after.
Buffy's moving day arrives and it's an emotional time for Andi and Cyrus. They try to make it a big deal, which upsets Buffy and she leaves Shadyside angry.
Celia buys The Fringe, with the intention of turning it into a top-notch beauty salon for Bex.
Buffy returns to Shadyside after her mother's program fell through.
Ham decides that he wants to travel, leaving Celia in Shadyside.
Cyrus comes to the conclusion that he doesn't have a crush on Jonah anymore.
Bowie and Miranda break up.
Jonah goes to a summer camp, which leaves his relationship with Andi in limbo.
Bex realizes that she still has feelings for Bowie and she and Andi create a plan to propose to him.
Bowie is offered the opportunity to be the lead guitarist for a six-month international gig, dampening Andi and Bex's plans to propose.

Andi Mack was officially renewed for its second season on May 25, 2017.
The season premiere features the first gay main character in any Disney Channel show in the United States.
- To prepare for the gay storyline, producers and actors consulted with GLAAD and other LGBT organizations.
Production started on July 11, 2017, and wrapped on February 17, 2018
- Asher Angel wrapped on February 9, 2018.
  - Because he wrapped so early, the amount of screentime he had in the final few episodes compared to earlier ones is noticeably reduced, which resulted in the first episode of the series not to feature Jonah at all.
On August 20, 2017, it was announced that Disney ordered an additional five episodes for this season, bringing its episode order to twenty-five episodes due to incentives from the government of Utah.
All episodes aired on Fridays at 8pm until the thirteenth episode, excluding the following two episodes:
- Head Over Heels, which aired on Monday, January 15th.
- We Were Never, which aired at 7:30pm on Friday, February 16th.
After the thirteenth episode, all episodes aired on Mondays at 8pm, excluding the following episode:
- We're on Cloud Ten, which aired at 7:30pm on Friday, August 10th.
